Who we are
Hosen in Hebrew means resilience. We at Hosen are devoted to providing help and support to the brave individuals who are struggling with unwanted same-sex attraction.
Men from diverse backgrounds, both religious and secular, face the challenge of same-sex attraction. They are all on the sexual attraction spectrum, with some being attracted to both men and women, while others are exclusively attracted to men. However, they all share a common desire: they do not want to remain in that state.
These individuals are searching for assistance and support, a safe space where they can confront their emotional issues and receive guidance in overcoming their difficulties.
They all share a common dream: to establish a loving heterosexual relationship. At Hosen, we are here to provide the help they need.
The current situation
In recent years, the topic of sexual orientation has garnered significant attention, capturing headlines in the media, dominating discussions on social platforms, and even shaping therapeutic approaches. The prevailing narrative states unequivocally that homosexuality should be embraced as a legitimate and unchangeable lifestyle.
This perspective has left many individuals who grapple with same-sex attraction feeling isolated and without the essential help they seek. In fact, actively seeking support is often discouraged and even considered as dangerous
At Hosen, we understand the complexities and challenges faced by men in this situation. Our organization is here to provide a compassionate and understanding environment where individuals can find the assistance and guidance they need. We recognize that not seeking help can lead to profound feelings of despair, depression, and even self-harm.
What we do
After searching for a way to help young men dealing with same-sex attraction, Counselors Roni Cohen and Rabbi Zvika Dentalsky joined forces with clinician Yehonatan Bransky (MSW) to found Hosen.
We at Hosen offer a professional, discreet and effective solutions for these individuals and their families. At Hosen we also offer help to teachers and rabbis who are dealing with students facing such challenges.
At Hosen, we want to see these men live the life that they wish to lead; a life in harmony with the values they cherish.
The organization was founded with wide rabbinic and professional support.
